Girls Nest is our structured safe-space initiative designed for girls in low-income communities, beginning in Ogbomosho and Ibadan. The club fosters confidence, health awareness, and emotional resilience.

Sanitary Pad Banks ensure that support continues even when outreach teams are not present

We currently operate an active pad bank in Oyo (Ibadan) and are ready to scale this model nationwide.

Girls Nest Club

Weekly Safe-Space Meetings

Girls meet weekly in a supervised, secure environment led by trained volunteer teachers. These meetings provide:

  • Open discussions
  • Peer bonding
  • Guided mentorship
  • Confidence-building activities

 The environment is confidential, respectful, and judgment-free.

Menstrual Health Education

Members receive practical education on:

  • Menstrual hygiene management
  • Understanding cycle irregularities
  • Recognizing symptoms that require medical attention
  • Debunking harmful cultural myths

Education is interactive and culturally sensitive.

Emotional Support Sessions

Structured sessions addressing body image, puberty anxiety, social pressure, stigma, and self-esteem development for adolescent girls.

Sanitary Pad Distribution

To reduce absenteeism and menstrual poverty, Girls Nest distributes sanitary pads monthly to registered members. This ensures dignity, continuity in school attendance, and improved hygiene practices.
